A collision between a white C6 Corvette and a semi truck killed one person and shut down a major highway in Bakersfield, CA. The crash happened on Highway 166 just east of Tepusquet Road near Santa Maria.<br /><br /> CHP officers responded to the call at around 2:30 p.m. Officers said the driver of the white Corvette, 41-year-old Charles McAtee, was not wearing a seatbelt. He was thrown through the windshield and into the road on impact.
