Corvette Club car show to benefit Race for the Cure

, IN — The Wabash Valley Corvette Club will host a benefit car show noon to 4 p.m. Sunday in The Meadows shopping center parking lot.

The show, which benefits the Susan G. Komen Wabash Valley Race for the Cure, will include door prizes, food provided by Area 7 Agency on Aging and Disabled, music by Just Cruisin’ and a 50/50 raffle. Entry fee is $10. For more information, call Jay and Anita Wilhelm at (812) 299-8294.

The car show will serve as the opening event for the Komen Wabash Valley Race registration site at The Meadows. The 2008 Race for the Cure is Oct. 4 at St. Mary-of-the-Woods College. Registration is available online at www.komenwabashvalley.org, but those who wish to register in person can do so at the race registration site at The Meadows from Sunday through Oct. 3. The registration site will be open on Mondays from 11 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.; Tuesdays from 11 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.; Wednesdays from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 4 to 6:30 p.m.; Thursdays from 11 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.; Fridays from 11 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.; and Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
