The National Corvette Museum will be hosting the first “Vets ‘N Vettes” event November 7-8. Pre-registration closes on Friday, October 24, for this memorable event that offers two days of activities planned to experience Bowling Green, the Museum and Corvette Assembly Plant, and commemorative activities planned with a Veterans Day theme.

Participants can be a part of a scenic road tour excursion to Fort Knox where they will tour the Patton Museum of Calvalry Armor and enjoy lunch on base. Participants will also have the opportunity to take part in our city’s Veterans Day Parade, attend a special banquet, and enjoy tours of the Museum and Corvette Assembly Plant. All enthusiasts are welcome! Find out more and register at

In addition November is “Military Appreciation Month” at the National Corvette Museum and all military personnel, firemen, police officers and their immediate families will receive “Free Admission” during the entire month of November. All branches including active, retired and reserve members will be honored with free admission when presenting a military or service ID.

The Museum features over 70 rare and classic Corvettes from the past, present and future of Corvette along with many new displays including the new “Pit Crew Challenge” interactive exhibit. Guests can enjoy the hands-on fun of the exhibit by racing against the clock to fuel up, change tires and keep the Corvette race car in the top of the racing heap. In addition, guests can see Corvette Pace Cars and prototype models that never made it to the showroom. Guests visiting may also have the opportunity to sit behind the wheel of a Corvette and take a chance to win a new Corvette for only $10 per ticket. We will draw the winning ticket on January 8 and participants need not be present to win. Tickets can also be purchased online at: or by calling (800) 53-VETTE.

In conjunction with Veterans Day on November 11th, we are offering free admission to honor the many men and women who fight and protect our country and our freedom. “We are truly a blessed nation and our military provide the safety we have to enjoy our American privileges,” states NCM Executive Director, Wendell Strode. “Corvette is an American icon and we invite these special individuals and their family members to experience a tour of the Museum dedicated to America’s favorite sports car.”

The National Corvette Museum is a member-driven, non-profit foundation dedicated to continuing the mission of education, preservation and celebration of the Corvette’s past, present and future heritage.
