Corvette Club Sets Sights On Helping Homeless Veterans

The Connecticut Military Corvette Club has raised $650 for homeless veterans in its first year of operation.

The club's co-founder, Richard Miller, said helping homeless vets is something the club would like to address.

Miller, a retired sergeant for the National Guard, went back to work for the Guard after his retirement and specialized in troops returning from deployment.

"We were finding out that when a lot of these guys came back, they had nothing," Miller said. "We've got to be able to help these guys somehow. There's a need out there… not only for the guys, but there's female soldiers that were homeless."
