GM plans to restore one-of-a-kind Corvette

(CNN) – The 1 millionth Chevrolet Corvette is about to undergo an expensive makeover.

The 1992 white convertible was the 1 millionth version of the model to roll off the assembly line.

It was the most valuable of eight cars that fell into a sinkhole at Kentucky’s National Corvette Museum in February.

The vehicle is worth at least $750,000, according to Car and Driver.

General Motors said it will take about six months and an undetermined amount of money to restore the sports car.
