OH $HIT! Corvette HANGS THROTTLE, Almost Saves It
This is another old clip from the Carnage Fest Vol 1 DVD. It features Mark ‘Woody’ Woodruff in his 1967 Nitrous Corvette back before the blue paint and Twin Turbos making a run at Eddyville Dragway in Northern Missouri. Woody had his hands full fro the start as the car made a move toward the center line on the launch and then it went downhill from there. The car ends up completely side ways and as he is trying to bring it back it sounds like the throttle hangs up. If you look close as it hits the hard styrofoam block, the block wedges in side the front wheel of the car keeping Woody from steering the car and putting it into the wall. It looks like he wood have saved it if the cone was made of the softer material used at most tracks these days.
